NYC-based singer-songwriter Angéla's newest single "Nefelejcs" is coming on 11th July 2025. This song reflects the emotional journey of releasing the lingering feelings for someone who once meant a lot. Through heartfelt lyrics, it explores heartbreak from the perspective of someone who didn’t cry or fall apart — not because they didn’t care, but because they were surprised and didn’t fully understand what love was at the time. It’s a story of timing, growth, and the quiet triumph of choosing yourself after being left behind.
Born in Hungary and based in NYC, Angéla is a classically trained singer-songwriter, whose connection with symphonic and classical music runs in her blood. She was taught to play the piano by her grandmother, a highly respected music teacher.
After learning the bel canto technique in Hungary, Angéla continued her singing studies in the United States.
Equally inspired by pop, musical theater, and contemporary music, her influences range from Beyonce to Sara Bareilles, Calum Scott, Soulwave and Republic and other Hungarian rock bands. As a songwriter, Angéla is a powerful storyteller, able to craft emotional piano ballads as well as rhythm-driven pop songs both in English, Hungarian and Spanish.
